Background
Raised in the Ottawa Valley and now living in Ottawa
with his Wife and Children, Mr. Thiele brings to the
Law Firm experience and understanding of the Legal
Issues faced by the firms ever expanding base of
Client's. Mr. Thiele undertook his Undergraduate
studies in New England while also pursuing focused
studies in Scottish History at the University of
Glasgow in Scotland. Mr. Thiele received his Law
Degree in 1995 from Queen's University in Kingston,
Ontario.
Qualifications
Mr. Thiele being admitted to the Bar and as a Member
of the Law Society of Upper Canada, is qualified to
represent the interests of Client's before the
Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of
Appeal and all Administrative Tribunals.
Mr. Thiele teaches the Landlord and Tenant course at
Algonquin College. He has also lectured at the
annual East Region Solicitor’s Conference.

Areas of Practice
Mr. Thiele has a broad range of experience in most
areas of the Law affecting the interests of his
Clients. Mr. Thiele actively litigates and/or
defends his Client's in cases involving: Contract
Disputes, Employment Disputes, Insurance Claims,
Personal Injury including Sexual Assault, Debt
Collection, Residential Landlord and Tenant
Disputes, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board
Matters, All Types of Disability Benefit Claims and
also further assists Client's to resolve disputes
without Litigation, through Mediation and other
alternative Dispute Resolution methods.
In his years of practice, Mr. Thiele has developed a
problem solving approach to the issues faced by his
Client's which recognizes that most Clients want
their problems solved early, efficiently and
economically.
Education
Mr. Thiele received his Bachelor of Arts Degree
(with Honours) in 1992 from Colby College, a private
liberal arts College in Waterville, Maine, U.S.A.,
and spent a year abroad at the University of
Glasgow, in Scotland. Mr. Thiele obtained his Law
Degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario,
in 1995. Mr. Thiele was called to the Bar of Ontario
in February 1997.
